There's been plenty of rain on island in the past few days. Perfect conditions for returning males who are done and dusty after furiously digging burrows and finding females. A bit of colourful shelter greeted some on their journey. We're all still set for the spawning in a weeks' time 🙂

Christmas Island Marathon 🏃🏃🏽‍♂️🏃🏾‍♀️
The origins of the Marathon lie in Christmas Island folklore beginning in 1992 as a wager between Island Hash House Harriers - It has now grown to become an internationally listed event. Competitors may choose to run or walk the course in both the Half and Full Marathons. The scenic and challenging multi terrain marathon course starts at the top of the island plateau, 260m above sea level, running along roads, trails and through tropical rainforests and along the rugged Island coastline finishing at Flying Fish Cove. The tack provides a unique opportunity to experience Christmas Island like never before.
